FORMAL RECRUITMENT AT BOSTON UNIVERSITY

Boston University’s Formal Recruitment takes place every year at the beginning of the Spring semester. Over the course of one weekend, Potential New Members have the chance to meet women from each of the ten Panhellenic sororities on campus. Our hope is that PNMs get to know us and our sisterhood as they narrow down their preferences each day.

Recruitment will be adjusted based on how BU’s campus life looks in Spring 2026. The schedule is designed to give PNMs a chance to explore the unique aspects of each chapter at BU.

On day one — Go Greek — PNMs are introduced to each sorority and get a broad overview of Greek life at BU, usually in a virtual format. It is an opportunity to start the weekend by getting to know each chapter and learning more about the Panhellenic community. On day two, Philanthropy Day, chapters share their philanthropic focus. At ADPi, we are proud to support Ronald McDonald House Charities, and we highlight our ongoing partnership and the meaningful ways we support families through fundraising and service.

Day three is Sisterhood Day, where PNMs engage in longer conversations with our members and get a deeper sense of who we are. It’s a chance to experience the genuine friendships, shared values, and support that define our sisterhood. The final round, day four — Preference Day — is a more reflective and meaningful experience, as PNMs spend time with the chapters that resonated with them most.

Recruitment ends with the most exciting part: Bid Day, when we finally get to welcome a new Alpha class home to Alpha Delta Pi!
